Web Dashboard Design: Managing the Mobile Crypto Wallet Ecosystem
At Visa, I worked collaboratively to ship V1 of a web crypto dashboard for financial institutions to manage their accompanying mobile wallet product.
Project introduction
Following the development of a white-label mobile crypto wallet at Visa, our team designed an accompanying web dashboard to provide financial institutions with a powerful management tool for this product. This dashboard allows banks to oversee and manage their branded wallet mobile offerings and enrolled users, providing a cohesive ecosystem that empowers institutions to support and scale their crypto services seamlessly.

Mobile Wallet & Web Dashboard: The Ecosystem
While the mobile crypto wallet enables end-users to store, send, and receive digital assets, the web dashboard was built to give banks control over their mobile crypto product offering from an administrative perspective. This project bridges the user-facing mobile experience with backend business management capabilities, ensuring that financial institutions have the insights and tools they need to monitor and optimize the crypto service they provide to their customers.
Project Goals & Key Features
The goal of this project was to create an intuitive dashboard for banks to manage their mobile crypto wallet offerings and enrolled users. Key features include:
Analytics & Insights: The dashboard provides an overview of crypto movement and the total assets held within all user wallets, giving banks valuable insights into engagement, growth and asset volume.
Wallet and User Profile Management: Banks can access individual user profiles, viewing the enrolled wallet accounts and overseeing crypto transactions for each account.
Transaction Policies: Banks can set transaction policies to manage the types and amounts of crypto transactions, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Customizable Branding: The dashboard includes a visual UI editor in sandbox mode, allowing banks to customize the wallet interface with their own branding and colors, maintaining their brand identity in a seamless, user-friendly way.
Process & Collaboration
The design of this dashboard was a complex and highly collaborative process. We worked closely with product managers to define the project’s scope, ensuring alignment with both user and business goals. Throughout the project, we collaborated extensively with software engineers to understand technical constraints, develop API integration strategies, and ensure that the dashboard’s capabilities aligned with the mobile wallet’s functions.
Regular design critiques and syncs with stakeholders allowed us to gather feedback and refine the experience based on insights from multiple perspectives. We followed an iterative design loop, consistently ideating, prototyping, and adjusting the interface to address both technical and user experience needs.
Outcome
The project culminated in a high-fidelity prototype in Figma, allowing us to test the dashboard’s functionality before moving forward with development. This final prototype served as a comprehensive guide for user testing and provided our engineering team with a well-documented foundation for building the dashboard.
By bridging our original mobile wallet product with this robust web management tool, we created a cohesive ecosystem that empowers financial institutions to support their customers confidently in the evolving landscape of digital assets.
